Global Business Management
So much of business today is conducted with and through people from various cultural backgrounds. Cultural differences, if not understood, can be significant barriers to the implementation and success of a business venture. This course is concerned with implementation issues. Normative management theories, practices and systems are very western. As such, they contain cultural beliefs and values and assumptions. These concepts and practices and systems may not work as intended in other cultures and, if improperly used, can compound managers' problems.
